  14. Dear veterans,
u all have agreed to a wrong formulae. the DOPT letter clearly says- refixation will be done according to the pay received as on the day of leaving the service(defence). this should be done according to the FITMENT table issued by the Defence services viz - AFI 1/S/2008. from that table u get BASIC PAY+GP+MSP+GCB/CLSSN PAY. the total of these elements should be taken as the last pay in the defence. the new grade pay in which the exsm is re-employed will deducted from the last defence pay to arrive at a new basic and the the same amount will be noted as new grade pay of the re-employed post, means resultant will become basic pay + the present gp (the minus element) it means the new pay will remain the same that one has received on the last day in the defence. from there the increment whenever due will be accrued. this is the formula, please refer the payments made in the Income tax department/railways/EPFO. they have adopted the correct formula, only dept of posts has got some extra mind, they dont understand the language of the DOPT letter. please refer the matter to the DOPT after receiving arrears. thanks.
